Thursday’s Theme: Galaxy

I saw Guardians of the Galaxy the other day. I’m a space junkie, and I’m feeling inspired.
Today’s theme is a collection of goodies from around Etsy and elsewhere that fit into the Galaxy Wedding theme. Enjoy!

  1.  Solar system lollipops via The Colossal Shop : Beautiful and amazing. Great to use as favors.
  2.  Star garland via DropletWeddings Etsy : Hang them on the walls, above tables, or use them along with your table runner.
  3. Constellation buttons via PortableArtPins : Great to use as favors!
  4. “Star” lights behind curtain via pinterest : Beautiful and adds atmosphere. Cheesy pun intended.
  5. Galaxy glasses via TulaczFineArts Etsy : Another handmade beauty. These are gorgeous and I need these.
  6. Cake via 2tarts : I’m sure space never tasted so good.
  7. Star wars inspired cake knife via TheGeekyBride Etsy : I am totally nerding out right now.
  8. Galaxy gown via AliciaZenobia Etsy
  9. Galaxy nails via pinterest
  10. Shimmer eyes via pinterest : This makes me think of staring at stars from inside a nebula.
  11. Shimmer eyes via greenginger hair design : Peering into the universe.

Thursday’s Theme: Burlap & Lace Country

We’ve noticed the “Burlap & Lace” and country rustic themes are pretty popular, so we’ve put together a little collection of our own!

  1. “Perfect Match” wedding favors features a kraft card stock tag tied with little strips of lace. A cute keepsake, and easy to DIY.
  2. Dogwood & Buttercup country bouquet. Perfect for a casual outdoor wedding.
  3. Chalkboard tag place cards! These are so cool, and there are a lot of uses for them. We added the hemp twine to give it a country/natural feel. Yes, they are erasable!
  4. Hand embroidered stretch lace bridal garter.
  5. Invitation with lace trim. (Measures 8.5″ x 3.5″)
  6. Bride & Groom cake topper on a tree cut pedestal. (White and brown flag garland in the background.)
  7. Least but not least, simple and casual bridesmaid dress. This dress actually comes from Walmart! It’s great if you’re not trying to go formal at all. You can switch the belt out for some satin ribbon or sash to dress it up. Add simple necklace, and you’re good to go. If stripes aren’t your thing, we’ve seen similar dresses in solid colors. This dress is only $15, great for a budget wedding!

Edgy + feminine.

Ahhh the bridesmaids! This is one of those “why-didn’t-I-think-of-that?!” things. Fantastic!

Vivid Occasions

Studded votives, organic florals, hand-dyed textiles and bold paper are just a few elements that can be found in this edgy but feminine theme.

Another amazing detail is on the bride and bridesmaids: a black blazer for the bride, and tuxedo-inspired pieces for the bridesmaids.
The colour palette is black and white with some pops of colour in gold and pink.

Check it out!
